How to Join 100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry: A Look at Our January Giving Event
If you’ve ever wondered how collective giving can create immediate, meaningful impact right here at home, Tuesday, January 13th offered a perfect example.
Our January gathering of 100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry was inspiring, purposeful, and energizing—a powerful way to begin the year by bringing together women who care deeply about supporting local nonprofits in a simple, effective, and joyful way.

Congratulations to SOAR Special Recreation
We are thrilled to congratulate SOAR Special Recreation as the recipient of our January donations, following a thoughtful and well-deserved nomination by Pam Turner. Celebrating Pam’s successful nomination was a highlight of the evening and a reminder of how member-driven this group truly is.
SOAR Special Recreation provides inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities—creating spaces where confidence grows, friendships form, and everyone is given the chance to participate fully. Their mission aligns beautifully with the heart of our group: supporting organizations that directly enhance quality of life in the Lowcountry.
Members are encouraged to complete their donation through Grapevine (please select one-time, not monthly). Checks payable to SOAR Special Recreation may also be mailed directly. Every contribution goes straight to work in our community.
Featured Presentation: Lowcountry Legal Volunteers
We also heard a compelling presentation from Anne Caywood representing Lowcountry Legal Volunteers, an organization quietly doing essential, life-changing work throughout our region.
Lowcountry Legal Volunteers provides free civil legal assistance to low-income residents across Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, and Colleton counties. Their work supports individuals and families navigating housing stability, domestic violence protection, access to benefits, elder law matters, and more. It was a powerful reminder that strong communities are built not only on generosity—but on fairness, dignity, and access to justice.
Thank You to Our Host
A heartfelt thank-you to Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort for hosting us on January 13th. Having the entire venue to ourselves created a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and their enthusiasm for supporting our mission made the evening even more special.
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re actively exploring future venues. If you have an idea—or a personal connection to a location that might be a great fit—we would love to hear from you.
Growing the Circle
One of the most exciting parts of the evening was welcoming several first-time attendees and four new members. To those who brought guests—thank you. This group grows the best way possible: organically, through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and a shared desire to give back locally.

A Note About Our Founders
Allison Cobb & Natalie Burnside
100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry was created by Allison Cobb and Natalie Burnside with one simple goal:
to make local philanthropy simple, joyful, meaningful, and accessible—one gathering at a time.
What began as an idea shared between friends has grown into a powerful collective of women who care deeply about strengthening the Lowcountry together. No long meetings. No committees. No pressure. Just women showing up, learning about real needs in our community, and making an immediate impact together.
That spirit was on full display at our January gathering—and it continues to grow with every new face in the room.
