July Spotlight for 100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry

At our July meeting of 100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry, we were honored to support a foundation that is as powerful as it is personal—Jillian’s Love Lives On. Created to honor the life of Jillian Angner, this organization stands as a voice for those impacted by violence and a beacon of hope for families walking through unimaginable grief.

A Legacy of Love and Protection

Jillian’s Love Lives On was born from tragedy. In 2023, at just 25 years old, Jillian Angner was murdered by a former boyfriend. A radiant soul with a bright future, Jillian’s life was taken in an act of violence that shocked and devastated her family, friends, and community. But out of this loss came a purpose: to ensure Jillian’s legacy lives on through action, awareness, and support for others facing similar danger.

Founded by Jillian’s mother, family, and close friends, the foundation was created to support nonprofit organizations that serve individuals and families impacted by violence, including—but not limited to—domestic abuse, stalking, and emotional trauma. It seeks to shine a light on victims who often feel invisible, unheard, or unsupported.

Different by Design

What sets Jillian’s Love Lives On apart is its specific focus on supporting victims and families affected by intimate partner violence, stalking, and post-trauma needs. Many domestic violence organizations address immediate crisis response. This foundation goes further—filling in the gaps by:

  • Providing funding to nonprofits who support victims of stalking and harassment—often overlooked yet life-altering.

  • Supporting families of victims who are left behind in the aftermath of violence.

  • Raising awareness about the subtle warning signs and patterns of emotional abuse, coercion, and obsessive behavior.

  • Advocating for preventative education and early intervention resources.

Their mission is rooted in the belief that love lives on when we fight for others—and that Jillian’s name and story can be a force for protecting lives.

Why We Chose This Charity

At 100 Women Giving Back to the Lowcountry, we believe in supporting causes that change lives. This foundation does just that. Jillian’s story is heartbreaking, but her legacy has become one of strength, protection, and empowerment. In choosing this organization for our July meeting, we stood in solidarity with survivors, with grieving families, and with the movement to prevent this type of tragedy from happening to others.

Our collective donation will help extend the reach of the foundation and support the very organizations that Jillian’s family hopes will make a difference—whether by helping someone leave an unsafe relationship, offering trauma-informed counseling, or simply raising awareness before it’s too late.
