Mid-Year Goal Setting

Posted by The Cobb Group on Wednesday, June 17th, 2020 at 5:57pm.

We are almost at mid-year, and most of us have been sidelined by some unexpected occurrences. This is a great time of year to set aside an hour or so of uninterrupted time to do a mid-year review. Use this time to reflect and evaluate your goals and your progress and to plan for the remainder of the year.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What have you accomplished over the past six months (goal related or not)?

  • What goals did you achieve or make progress on?

  • What are your 3 proudest accomplishments?

  • What goals were a challenge?

  • What opportunities to learn new things did you take advantage of?

  • What goals no longer feel relevant?

  • What mistakes did I make and what did I learn from those mistakes?

  • What areas of strength did I identify from accomplishing my goals?

  • What areas of weakness have I identified?

Once you are able to identify some of these reflected areas, you can then move forward with resetting yourself.

  • What are my top 3 goals for the remainder of the year?

  • What new skills would I like to develop?

  • What time management habits do I need to improve?

  • How will I motivate myself to stay focused on my goals?

  • What habits do I need to change?

  • What routine do I need to change or develop?

While none of us have “been there and done that” with a pandemic, some of us in the profession can still be valuable in navigating how to get through. Please don’t hesitate and reach out to me. By working together, we can make the next 6 months amazing.
