INGREDIENTS

  • 2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, plus more for the pan
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place 2 sticks unsalted butter in the bowl of a stand mixer (or large bowl if using an electric hand mixer). Let sit at room temperature until softened. Coat an 8- or 9-inch square metal baking pan with more butter.

I think I share this recipe every year, but that's because it's so good. Now come on and make them already!! They're not even hard - you have no excuse!

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (16 oz) bag Mini marshmallows
  • 1 (11.5 oz) box Lucky Charms cereal

Instructions

    • Grease a 9x13 in pan with cooking spray (or two 8x8 inch pans if you want thicker bars).
    • Melt butter over low heat in a large stockpot.
    • Once butter has melted, stir in salt and mini marshmallows.
    • Stir constantly until melted.
    • Once the marshmallows have melted, remove from heat and stir in cereal.
    • Stir gently so you don’t crush the cereal.

This recipe comes from one of my favorite dessert bloggers — Cookies and Cups. She always tries a recipe over and over to make sure it is flawless. For instance, this one is the perfect ratio of Fruity Pebbles to Rice Krispies. I don’t usually add the extra marshmallows at the end but that’s just because I’m lazy.
