Lately while we’ve been out touring homes, we’ve heard a lot of our clients commenting on landscaping. We get it…it’s summer and landscaping is in full swing around here. People have had a lot more time than usual to work in their yard. I’m not gonna lie — there’s been a few that I’ve been #jealous!

During our weekly office meeting this week, we were all discussing the landscaping “talk” and Natalie reminded me of my Butterfly Garden. It’s not that I forgot (because I’m outside all the time), but it reminded me that anyone can have one. Thanks for the reminder Natalie!

Better Homes and Gardens recently featured many beautiful flowering plants that you can easily add into your home for some color. Most of them can be found at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon or your local nursery. Here are just five of our favorites that they showcased. I really want to find the Ixora plant.

African violet

Among the easiest flowering houseplants you can grow, African violets bloom several times a year with little effort from you.  They come in hundreds of varieties, some with variegated foliage or ruffled or white-edged blooms. African violet likes warm conditions and filtered sunlight, but avoid getting water on the fuzzy leaves; it causes ugly brown spots.
