Carrabba's Bread Dipping Oil

I was looking for an appetizer recipe the other day and came across this one. It really brought back so many memories of all the dozens of loaves of bread I ate at Carrabba's because their dipping oil is so good. It's been many years since Carrabba's closed on Hilton Head Island. I thought you may want a little memory refresher with this delicious and easy dip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic (this is different from garlic powder)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients (except olive oil) on a dipping plate.
  2. Pour olive oil over the top.
  3. Serve with your favorite bread. (focaccia, Italian, sourdough)

A good olive oil makes all the difference. Get the best quality olive oils at either Hilton Head Oils or Olive the Above in Bluffton.
