eXp Realty Q1 2025 Results: What They Mean for Agents, Clients, and the Future of Real Estate
Let’s talk about eXp Realty—the company that’s not just keeping pace with a changing market, but actively shaping the future of real estate. As a Realtor with The Cobb Group, I’ve seen firsthand how eXp is doing things differently. And after reviewing the company’s Q1 2025 numbers, I’m even more confident in where we’re headed.
Yes, these are the official results from eXp World Holdings, Inc., but let me break them down through the lens of someone who lives and breathes this business.
eXp Realty by the Numbers: Solid, Smart, and Still Growing
Even with a national market that’s cooled from its frenzied pandemic pace, eXp posted $954.9 million in revenue this quarter—up 1% year-over-year. That steady climb is a sign of smart strategy, not just luck.
-
Adjusted EBITDA came in at $2.2 million, which shows disciplined growth and investment in tech, tools, and training.
-
The company ended the quarter with $115.7 million in cash, up from the previous year. That kind of financial stability means we’re here for the long game.
-
Operating cash flow was a strong $39.8 million.
-
And—this is huge—they returned $12.6 million to shareholders, including $7.6 million in dividends and $5 million in stock buybacks. That’s not just numbers on a page; that’s a company that values its people.
Global Expansion? Yep. We’re There.
eXp is everywhere, and it’s growing. In Q1 alone, the company more than doubled its international revenue compared to the same time last year. We also expanded into Perú and Türkiye, proving once again that eXp’s agent-first model translates across borders.
Glenn Sanford, Founder and CEO of eXp World Holdings, said:
“We’ve built one of the most comprehensive, tech-enabled agent value stacks in the industry. In 2025, we plan to double down with smarter tech, more training, and more ways for agents to grow wealth and freedom.”
This isn’t just buzz—it’s happening.
Innovation That Drives the Industry Forward
Leo Pareja, CEO of eXp Realty, nailed it when he said:
“We’re not just defending our industry – we’re building the future of it.”
Let’s break down what that means:
-
eXp launched the industry’s first open-source seller advisory form, helping consumers better understand the selling process.
-
We became the first to partner with Zillow to increase consumer transparency.
-
The new co-sponsor program gives agents even more income potential.
These aren’t surface-level perks. They’re meaningful changes that directly benefit both clients and agents—and that’s the magic of eXp.
Agent-Centric, Always
Here’s where the rubber meets the road:
-
eXp’s global Net Promoter Score (a key measure of agent satisfaction) rose to 78, up from 73 last year.
-
While total agent count is down 5% (now at 81,904), that’s a reflection of broader industry recalibration—not eXp-specific struggles.
-
Sales volume is up 4% to $38.6 billion, even as transaction count decreased 2%. That’s more value per deal and a sign that productivity is improving.
In other words: the agents who stay are thriving.
