Apple Monkey Bread: Pull-Apart Love in Every Bite
If you haven’t experienced the magic of Monkey Bread yet, prepare to be amazed. This ooey-gooey, caramel-coated pull-apart bread is a total crowd-pleaser, and we’re adding a fruity twist with tender apples. Bonus? It’s ridiculously easy to make.
Recipe adapted from The Wall Street Journal.
What You’ll Need:
-
2 cans Pillsbury Grands! Southern Homestyle Original Biscuits
-
1 1/2 lbs apples, peeled and chopped
-
1/2 cup apple cider or juice
-
Brown sugar, granulated sugar & cinnamon (because, of course!)
-
Butter (because everything is better with butter)
-
A Bundt Pan (Grab one here!)
How to Make It:
-
Cook apples with apple cider and brown sugar until just tender.
-
Cut biscuits into quarters, coat in cinnamon sugar, and layer with apples in a Bundt pan.
-
Make a quick caramel sauce with butter and brown sugar, pour over the biscuits, and bake.
-
Flip it out of the pan (oooh, look at that caramel drizzle!) and dig in.
Serve warm, and watch it disappear faster than a box of chocolates.
Baked Lemon Crème Brûlée: Because You’re Fancy Like That
Want to impress your Valentine? This lemon-infused crème brûlée is equal parts luscious, citrusy, and caramelized perfection. And yes, you get to use a kitchen torch—instant chef points!
Recipe adapted from The Wall Street Journal.
What You’ll Need:
-
4 fresh lemons (for zest and juice)
-
Heavy cream (because indulgence is the point)
-
Sugar & eggs (aka custard magic)
-
Ramekins & a high-sided baking dish (Snag some here!)
-
A kitchen torch (Get yours here!)
How to Make It:
-
Simmer cream with lemon zest and sugar, then let it steep for max flavor.
-
Whisk together eggs, sugar, cream, and fresh lemon juice, then strain for a silky texture.
-
Bake in a water bath (sounds fancy but is super easy) until just set.
-
Chill for a few hours, then torch the sugar on top for that signature crispy crust.
The result? A smooth, tangy-sweet custard with a caramelized sugar topping that cracks oh-so-satisfyingly with each spoonful.
