Lately while we’ve been out touring homes, we’ve heard a lot of our clients commenting on landscaping. We get it…it’s summer and landscaping is in full swing around here. People have had a lot more time than usual to work in their yard. I’m not gonna lie — there’s been a few that I’ve been #jealous!

During our weekly office meeting this week, we were all discussing the landscaping “talk” and Natalie reminded me of my Butterfly Garden. It’s not that I forgot (because I’m outside all the time), but it reminded me that anyone can have one. Thanks for the reminder Natalie!

So I went to one of my favorite websites, The Spruce, and found a great article on how to plant one. Remember you want to attract them but you also want to include host plants…

I love a home with a “name”! I wonder what I could name my house…

Anyway! This week is giving us some serious FOMO, because not only is it an undeniably cute house, but it has a cute name — “Tuckaway Cottage”. Just imagine…whenever a guest comes over you can say, “Welcome to Tuckaway Cottage!” Bring on the charm and bring on the outdoor living space. Hasn’t everyone always wanted something like this in their lives?

  • 3 beds and 3 baths with over 3000 square feet of living space

  • first floor living at it’s finest

  • completely renovated in 2019

  • move right in and make zero changes

  • did you see the screened porch with wood-burning fireplace?!!

  • a hot tub off the master bedroom

  • and…it’s in Colleton…

Be a trusted adviser. When you present multiple options to a potential client, you guide them to the best option for them rather than pushing something on them. If your solution isn't the right fit for your clients, and even if you may lose a sale as a result, you build trust by being honest and it generates more long-term value than any individual sale.

Let’s discuss how to offer multiple options to your clients with confidence and ease.

Your four-pawed friend deserves a retreat like no other. You don’t need a sprawling backyard or large indoor space to build a style-savvy dog house. Some of these luxury homes are equipped with air conditioning and televisions so your canine companion isn’t inconvenienced in any way.

Local salon owner of Cocoa Rose in Bluffton, Khristina Reinheardt, agrees. She created the ultimate space for her dogs. Some of the finishing touches like a chandelier are being completed as…

Where people choose to live has traditionally been tied to where they work, a dynamic that through the past decade spurred extreme home value growth and an affordability crisis in coastal job centers. But the post-pandemic recovery could mitigate or even produce the opposite effect and drive a boom in secondary cities and exurbs, prompted not by a fear of density but by a seismic shift toward remote work.

There is a little, hidden, magical, gated neighborhood that is perfectly placed on the marsh that I know you’ll love. It’s quiet and secluded, and best of all, it is a hop, skip and jump to the island or to Old Town Bluffton. The house itself has been remodeled and updated. It sits on a lagoon. It has 5 bedrooms, which is just right for so many families these days.

What else:

  • 5 beds, 4 baths and 3,300 sqft — plenty of space for your family

  • 3 car garage for your extras or your teen’s car!

  • lots of built in’s and storage space

  • open kitchen and living area is great for entertaining or watching the kids

  • the crown molding adds just the right touch

  • community pool that is pristinely kept up

This recipe is a family favorite in our house. It’s really simple, and the kids love it. You could fill it with whatever you want…if you don’t like sausage or mushrooms. This time I bought pizza dough from Publix, and I’m going to try using that instead. I’ll let you know how it goes! If you make it, I want to know what you think.

Upside-Down Sausage and Mushroom Pizza

Ingredients

2 teaspoons olive oil

1 pound sweet or hot turkey sausage, casing removed

1 cup onion, sliced

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced

1 cup pasta sauce

1 cup pizza sauce

1/2 cup black olives, sliced

16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 eggs

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt
