If you’re like me, you try to recycle everything that you can. I love when my recycle bin is more full than my garbage bin. Sometimes I’m not really sure if it meets the recycling criteria, but I think to myself that I’d rather send it and try. I didn’t know until I read an article that I could be contaminating my entire bin.

It turns out that non-qualifying pieces can cause the machines to clog, slow operations, and/or create unsafe work conditions. These are the 11 items:

  2. Pizza boxes if they have food stains or grease on them

A few months ago I was with a group of friends, and they were all talking about getting rid of stinky smells in their home. One friend complained of pet odors while another said no matter how clean her son’s room is, it still smells like a stinky boy!! It all led to a recommendation of the Germ Guardian. I finally decided to give it a try last week because my front hallway seems to smell musty when it rains. What could it hurt, right?

When I first plugged it in, it seemed to give off a weird smell but that slowly subsided. I have to say that after using it for a week, that included some rain, it really seems to work. We just wanted to give a shout out to one of our local favorites - Delisheeyo! You’ve got to stop in and give them a try. Eating healthy has never been so easy and good. They offer a variety of food that is all fresh and often times grown in their garden. They have smoothies and a juice bar (even a Detox Smoothie if you need it after the holidays).

If you’re short on time, you can easily order online and pick it up or grab a fresh pressed juice from the Grab and Go counter. However, if you have the time…stay and enjoy the little cottage and all the friendly people. Make sure you save room for a tart frozen yogurt.

I know everyone likes to hurry up and jot down a few goals that they want to accomplish for the new year but I have a better project for you. Make a vision board. Not only are they are more fun than a boring list but most people are visual and seeing something tangible is a powerful tool to make it happen. It doesn’t matter, young or old, we all have goals.
