Sunday’s are generally busy for realtors. Between open houses, showings, planning for the week and our families, we are juggling a lot. However, Sunday’s are also perfect to take a few moments for ourselves. It helps to refresh us and gives us back our energy. Try to carve out even 30 minutes to just sit back and relax. You will be so happy that you did.

This family is getting a great home! They are going to love living in this lakefront home in pristine Belfair. I’m so jealous of their drive in and out of the community under all those majestic old great oak trees. It is swoon-worthy!

Oh my! Sold in Victoria Bluff. One of the most desired neighborhoods in Bluffton. Just look at that backyard. Birdwatching, reading, coffee drinking, naps…I can see it now.

Do you procrastinate? It may not be because of the reason you think. I recently read this article, and it hits the nail on the head. The writer references one of my all-time favorite authors, Brené Brown. Her topics and writing style are spot on.

Could it be that you are a perfectionist and it is causing you to procrastinate? I can be guilty of this too. These steps are really helpful.

  1. Change your perspective

  2. Realize that you’re constantly improving

  3. Define “good enough”

  4. Remember: No one is perfect

  5. Be your own best friend

  6. What’s the worst thing that happens if they laugh at you?

  7. Not everyone will love you — and that’s okay

Whether you are a new agent or seasoned, we all face the same challenges. If we don’t get ahead of them, we will never get over them.

Many agents underestimate and overlook how important it is to stay in touch with contacts regularly. Follow-up with clients after the transaction is key. Only 25% of agents actually pursue their existing contacts and past clients for referrals.

Statistics by Brian & Buffini:

  • 25% of agents generate more than 50% of their annual business entirely through referrals

  • 88% of buyers claim they would use the same agent or refer them

  • The average agent earns 42% of their business through referrals

  • 82% of ALL real estate transactions are REFERRALS

Don’t wait. Top…

WoW!! I really love a house that is Lowcountry living in a city setting. It’s hard to find the best of both worlds in our neck of the woods. There’s nothing like the Southern charm and warmth when you walk around Old Town Bluffton. Is it the Spanish moss dripping off the great oaks, or the close proximity to the May River, or the local shops and eateries? I think it’s all of it.

This home is everything. Drive your golf cart to town!

  • 4 beds, 4 baths

  • open concept

  • did you see those exposed beautiful beams?

  • oh my…the windows in the four season room!

  • a kitchen made for enjoying your guests

  • separate guest house over the garage

  • low maintenance, fenced in yard so all you have to…

If you’re like me, you try to recycle everything that you can. I love when my recycle bin is more full than my garbage bin. Sometimes I’m not really sure if it meets the recycling criteria, but I think to myself that I’d rather send it and try. I didn’t know until I read an article that I could be contaminating my entire bin.

It turns out that non-qualifying pieces can cause the machines to clog, slow operations, and/or create unsafe work conditions. These are the 11 items:

  1. Plastic bags

  2. Pizza boxes if they have food stains or grease on them

  3. Gift wrap

  4. Small metal bits

  5. Receipts

  6. Food residue

  7. Broken crockery

  8. Diapers

  9. Shredded Paper

  10. Coffee cups (ex: Dunkin Donuts or…

A few months ago I was with a group of friends, and they were all talking about getting rid of stinky smells in their home. One friend complained of pet odors while another said no matter how clean her son’s room is, it still smells like a stinky boy!! It all led to a recommendation of the Germ Guardian. I finally decided to give it a try last week because my front hallway seems to smell musty when it rains. What could it hurt, right?

When I first plugged it in, it seemed to give off a weird smell but that slowly subsided. I have to say that after using it for a week, that included some rain, it really seems to work. My hallway hasn’t smelled musty since I’ve plugged it in (even with all the shoes that collect there too). I would definitely say for…

We just wanted to give a shout out to one of our local favorites - Delisheeyo! You’ve got to stop in and give them a try. Eating healthy has never been so easy and good. They offer a variety of food that is all fresh and often times grown in their garden. They have smoothies and a juice bar (even a Detox Smoothie if you need it after the holidays).

If you’re short on time, you can easily order online and pick it up or grab a fresh pressed juice from the Grab and Go counter. However, if you have the time…stay and enjoy the little cottage and all the friendly people. Make sure you save room for a tart frozen yogurt.
