How Do You Choose a Name for Your House?

A good house name usually comes from something that already makes the home distinctive. Consider the street name, architecture, surrounding trees and landscape, view, history, location and personality of the house. Allison Cobb recommends choosing something memorable but timeless enough that it will still feel appropriate years from now. Once a house has a name, homeowners can incorporate it into a plaque, custom illustration, family crest, stationery, cocktail napkins, matchbooks or glassware.

There’s something incredibly powerful about a room full of women who genuinely want to make a difference. Our recent gathering of at HogsHead Kitchen & Wine Bar in Moss Creek Village was exactly that kind of evening — meaningful, inspiring, energetic, and honestly… just really special.

We had a fantastic turnout, with nearly 50 women staying afterward for dinner, conversation, and connection.
